Recommended resources/book on various Spiritual Thoughts

These are in NO particular order and we plan to add more details, more resources, and expanded thoughts on why we like these books as we progress with this site.

Eric Butterworth, ANYTHING AND EVERYTHING BY HIM! Especially, Spiritual Economics: The Principles and Process of True Prosperity (hands down one of my favorite books of all time), and In the Flow of Life.

Rhonda ByrneThe Secret; a great introduction to the Laws of Attraction (The Power  is also great for shifting your thinking.)

Deepak Chopra, How to Know God and The Seven Spiritual Laws of Success: A Practical Guide to the Fulfillment of Your Dreams. (All of his books are AMAZING, but these two had a great influence on my book!)

Paulo CoelhoThe Alchemist: A Graphic Novel (an illustrated interpretation of The Alchemist) A Fable About Following Your Dreams.

Mike DooleyManifesting Change: It Couldn’t Be Easier (Sign up for his daily Notes from the Universe at http://www.tut.com. LOVE them!)

T. Harv EkerSecrets of the Millionaire Mind: Mastering the Inner Game of Wealth

Matthew Ferry, he doesn’t have a book out yet that we know of, but his teachings can be found at: http://www.matthewferry.com. LOVE his take on the drunk monkey (your mind).

Esther and Jerry HicksThe Law of Attraction: The Basics of the Teachings of Abraham, and Money, and the Law of Attraction: Learning to Attract Wealth, Health, and Happiness (I recommend anything of theirs, really.)

Vernon M. Sylvest, The Formula: Who Gets Sick, Who Gets Well, Who Is Happy, Who Is Unhappy, and Why So many great thoughts. Here is one for you: “In our own experience of lack of worth, we try to make someone less worthy so that we can feel more worthy and thus less guilty. The perception of scarcity develops out of the emotional experience of the lack of love and joy.”

Susan Trott, The Holy Man’s Journey: Book Two of the Holy Man Trilogy (Volume 2) On top of having some good life lessons, this book shows the “humanness” of “holiness.” How we are all learning and growing.

Tao Te Ching. There are several different translations of this, but if you prefer videos, check out https://www.youtube.com/user/taichihealthproducts for several healing thoughts that can be found in the Tao the Ching. Speaking of this YouTube channel…

Don and Tori Fiore, for information on the Tao Te Ching, Feng Shui, Tai Chi, and Gigong https://www.youtube.com/user/taichihealthproducts or https://vibrant-health-happiness.com/

Burt Harding, checkout his YouTube channel at: https://www.youtube.com/user/burtharding

Marianne Williamson, she has written several books, but I LOVE her talks on YouTube (mind-blowing!) She has a great ability to process what “A Course in Miracles” is trying to say. Check her out at: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCQ233EaJoyBOGTSqI4rlEcg

Diane Dreher, The Tao of Inner Peace This was one of my [Kristin’s] first steps outside of the teachings of Christianity. This was a book I read, and thought, “this feels right.” And the journey began…

Paramahansa Yoganda, The Yoga of Jesus: Understanding the Hidden Teachings of the Gospels (Self-Realization Fellowship) and Autobiography of a Yogi (Self-Realization Fellowship), from the back of the “The Yoga of Jesus” book: “reveals the hidden yoga of the Gospels and confirms that Jesus, like the ancient sages and masters of the East, not only knew yoga but taught this universal science…” (FYI, we Westerners think of Yoga as the physical exercise, but there is so much more to it than that!)

Brian Weiss, Many Lives, Many Masters: The True Story of a Prominent Psychiatrist, His Young Patient, and the Past-Life Therapy That Changed Both Their Lives and Messages from the Masters: Tapping into the Power of Love, it gets into so much more than just exploring our past lives.

Thomas Moore, Soul Mates: Honoring the Mysteries of Love and Relationship

Earnest Holmes, The Science of Mind: The Complete Edition and Creative Mind and Success, if you are looking to explore the power of your thoughts more, Science of Mins and Earnest Holmes is a great place to look. Also…

Dr. Fredrick Bailes, Basic Principles of the Science of Mind: Twelve Lesson Home Study Course, this book is often used in conjunction with a class. A great teacher I know is…

Carol Tucker Andrix, a phenomenal teacher of Science of Mind in Chicago. Contact her at: ukiah17[at]aol.com to find out more about her classes. She is a great mentor and friend and I cannot say enough wonderful things about this lady or thank her enough for her influence on me.

Richard Bach, Illusions : The Adventures of a Reluctant Messiah A story about life and spirituality. Here is a quote to take away, “ There is no such thing as a problem without a gift for you in its hands.”

Don Miguel Ruiz, The Four Agreements: A Practical Guide to Personal Freedom (A Toltec Wisdom Book): Be impeccable with your word. Don’t take anything personally. Don’t make assumptions. Always do your best.

Gavin Frost, Ph.D., D.D. and Yvonne Frost, D.D. The Witch’s Magical Handbook – Yes, we really did explore all kinds of spiritual thoughts! If you read this book, you might be surprised at how much it overlaps with other spiritual thoughts.

Edgar Cayce – <Soul-Purpose: Discovering and Fulfilling Your Destiny (written by Mark Thurston, Ph.D.) Lots of good thoughts, here is one for you: “One should not search for an abstract meaning in life. Everyone has his own specific vocation or mission in life…”

Hermann Hesse,Siddhartha: A Novel

Viktor E. FranklMan’s Search for Meaning

Napoleon HillThink and Grow Rich: The Landmark Bestseller Now Revised and Updated for the 21st Century (Think and Grow Rich Series) Classic!

Anthony de Millo,Awareness: The Perils and Opportunities of Reality This man is a genius.  I am lucky enough to have the audio version as well as the print book and this is one of my “listen to it over and over again” books.

James RedfieldThe Celestine Prophecy: An Adventure as well as his other adventures. There is a concept in here about how we all manipulate each other in different ways that really blew my mind. Love it! We don’t talk about it in the Unpuzzling Spirituality book, but for that one thought alone, the book is worth it.

Alfred J. WelchThe Quest For Mastership This is an extremely obscure book, but wow! Good stuff. It came into my possession from a cabbie in Chicago. I was headed to the airport and he asked if I had anything to read. I did (of course), but he handed me this book anyway. He said, “God told me you should have this book.” He had just picked it up at a used book store. Of course, I thought he was nuts, but I took the book.  LOVED IT! Thank you, Mr. Cab Driver!

Joe VitaleThe Awakening Course: The Secret to Solving All Problems Great quote: “Action is what makes things happen. You have a part in the co-creation of miracles, and your part is to take action on inspired ideas.” Plus the Ho’oponopono technique he describes will blow your mind!
