A lot of us often “look for signs” from to let us know we are on the right track or give us confirmation. They come in all shapes and sizes, and today your sign is…

Looking for sign? Go for it! Your life was not meant to be played small!

Weigh your options, make a wise and loving choice and… go for it!*

Of course, be smart about the choices you make. Be smart, think it through, BUT TAKE ACTION. You will regret the things you did not do more than the things you did do.

(*Big Heart Living is in no way responsible for the choices you make. Own your choices!)

Although the thoughts on this site are all a reflection of “Unpuzzling Spirituality: An Introduction to Spiritual Thoughts to Create a Big, Happy, Peaceful, and Loving Life (Ages 9 and up),” the copy below is cut and paste from our book, with slight alterations so it makes sense outside of the entire body of work.

From Chapter 10—Making Choices by Exploring Options

Throughout our waking hours, we are constantly making choices. We might choose what to wear, what to eat, who to eat with, and on and on! Often times, however, we have to choose how to react to people or situations that present us with something unexpected.

While you do not have control of others, or of all of the events that occur in your life, you do have control of how you respond to an event or to a person. These are the times that we need a calm peaceful mind so we can choose wisely.

A thoughtful loving response can help bring peace and calm. Conversely, a knee-jerk response, one made without thinking it through, could result in grabbing on to some junk energy, create bad feelings, and worsen a situation.

Let’s look at a response strategy you can use to create loving
responses to others, to difficult situations, or to just about any problem that arises!

Take a second/“SEC”

Instead of quickly reacting to a situation,
take a “sec” before you respond…

S Stop

E Explore

C Choose

Now let’s look at more “take a SEC” details:

STOP Calm your mind. Observe, understand, and accept what is really happening.

EXPLORE   Ask, “What are my options?”

CHOOSE   Choose a compassionate action to take.

Give it a try! Say it out loud! Take a “SEC”!

STOP – EXPLORE – CHOOSE

Let’s check out some different ways you can explore your options… Read more in Unpuzzling Spirituality
